About us
Peace for Children Development Limited was established in Hong Kong in 2026, focused on the developmental needs of children aged 0 to 12.
Why “Peace”
We believe peace is something concrete for a child: enough food, decent sleep, someone who listens, room to play, and freedom from fear. None of that is automatic — it has to be deliberately built.
Mission
To build the conditions Hong Kong’s children need to grow — especially those in under-resourced environments — so that every child can reach their potential.
Vision
A Hong Kong where no child loses their starting chance because of where they were born.
The framework we work from
We design our services around the Nurturing Care Framework, published in 2018 by the World Health Organization, UNICEF and the World Bank. It identifies five interrelated and indivisible conditions a child needs to reach their full potential.

What we believe
Children are not marketing material
We will not display children’s hardship, tears or faces to raise money. Any content involving a real child requires informed consent from their guardian and, according to age, from the child — with the right to withdraw at any time.
Show up, again and again
One-off handouts photograph well and change nothing. Child development is measured in years. We would rather work in fewer districts for longer than spread wide and shallow.
Say what we can evidence
Every figure we cite carries its source and year. We will not describe work we have not done, and we will say plainly when something is uncertain — including the fact that we do not yet hold tax-exempt charitable status.

Applying for charitable tax exemption
Applying to the Inland Revenue Department for exemption under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. The IRD generally takes four months or more to respond.
